The same water, then and now

Furuno imaged the same shipwreck in the same conditions with the CSH-10 and the previous model. Stabilization and new signal processing remove the false echoes around the wreck.

Choose the CSH-10 if

  • You fish in a sea often. The CSH-10 stabilizes its transmit and receive beams independently, and Furuno credits its motion sensor with 20% more long-range detection.
  • You run NavNet TZtouchXL and want sonar on the chart, controlled from the MFD.
  • You want target lock to tell you a school's speed and course, not just its position.
  • You're building new or refitting and want the longest service life.

The CSH-8L MK2 still makes sense if

  • The budget is firm. The hoist alone is $4,090 less at MSRP, and used units are common.
  • Your boat already has one and your crew knows it well.
  • You run AC power at the helm and don't use TZtouchXL.

Whichever you start with, the shared hull tube means a later step up to the CSH-10 doesn't need new hull work. See what changes in an upgrade.

Not sure which fits your boat?

We have the contacts and the expertise to recommend the right installer for your boat. We work with a network of licensed, insured, certified and Furuno-approved dealers, and because of the volume we send them, we have pre-negotiated discounted rates. Tell us about the boat and we'll come back with a recommendation and pricing.

  • Recommendations from people who work in marine electronics every day, not a call center.
