OMNICSH

Furuno omni sonar price

CSH-10 from $91,095 MSRP, CSH-8L MK2 from $79,075. Build the whole system from published prices, then get a dealer quote for the installed cost.

An omni install has three parts: the sonar, the mechanical parts that get the transducer into the water, and the work to put it in the hull. Furuno publishes MSRP for most of the second group. Total those here, then let us get you the rest.

What's in the box, and what isn't

Furuno USA sells both omni sonars as black-box systems. For the CSH-10 that means the processor, control unit, transceiver, transducer and motion sensor. You add the hoist, the shaft and the interface cables. The CSH-8L MK2 is sold the same way, less hoist and shaft.

Neither includes a display. The CSH-10 drives a monitor over HDMI or shows on a NavNet TZtouchXL running software 25.11 or later; the CSH-8L MK2 drives a monitor over RGB.

Costs that aren't on any price list

  • Haul-out, and glassing or welding in the tube on a new install
  • Installation labor and sea trial
  • Heading, speed and course data for target lock and north-up
  • Power: the CSH-10 transceiver and hoist run on 24 VDC

Questions about price

How much does a Furuno omni sonar cost?

Furuno USA publishes MSRP for both systems: the CSH-10 is $91,095 less hoist, shaft and interface cables, and the CSH-8L MK2 is $79,075 less hoist and shaft. The required add-ons carry published MSRP too: the CSH-10 hoist is $9,265, shafts are $1,970 to $4,750, and hull tubes are $1,767 to $6,233. A display, installation labor and haul-out come on top, and your installed price comes from a dealer quote.

Is $91,095 what I actually pay?

That's Furuno USA's published MSRP for the CSH-10 system, less hoist, shaft and interface cables. Your real number comes from a dealer quote, and our network carries pre-negotiated discounted rates because of volume, so total the published parts here and then ask for the quote.

What else should I budget for?

Haul-out and hull work to fit the tube, installation labor, a display or MFD if you don't have one, and heading, speed and course sensors if you want target lock tracking and north-up. A satellite compass such as the SC70 (MSRP $5,695) covers heading.

What does a complete omni install cost in the real world?

Todd Talley of Atlantic Marine Electronics told InTheBite that installed omni systems ran about $110,000 to $120,000 (reported in 2023 and 2024). Your price depends on the model, display, hull work and yard.

Do I need a new hull tube to upgrade from a CSH-8L MK2?

No. The CSH-10 uses the same hull tubes as the CSH-8L MK2 and CSH-5L MK2. You do need the CSH-10 hoist and shaft.
