Omni trainer
Practice on a Furuno-style screen. Then try to lock the marlin.
Simulator: an illustrative model, not a recording
How to use it
- Start with Bait and predators. Hover the screen: the panel shows range, bearing and the beam's depth at your cursor.
- Move the tilt and watch the seabed band move. The panel shows where the beam meets the bottom.
- Click a mark to lock on. The panel reports its range, depth, speed and course, like target lock on a CSH-10.
- Load Rough sea, then switch the stabilizer on and off.
- When you're ready, take the Challenge.
What's real and what isn't
The beam geometry follows the CSH-10's published 6° vertical beam, and marks stretch into arcs at range the way they do on a real omni. The fish, bottom and noise are modeled, not recorded. For real screens, see the field guide and stabilization lessons, and Furuno's operator course.
Fastest marlin locks
Beat the Challenge and put your initials on the board. Times are from Challenge start to a clean lock on the marlin.
