If your boat has a NavNet TZtouchXL, it can run the CSH-10 from the chart screen and lay the sonar picture over the chart. This lesson covers what the connection does and what it needs.
At a glance
- Connects by Ethernet (LAN)
- Needs TZtouchXL software 25.11 or later
- Control: range, gain, tilt, marks and user settings
- Sonar Chart Overlay on BathyVision TZ MAPS
About 6 minutes. Part of Run the CSH-10 in the CSH-10 course.
What it does
With the TZtouchXL connected over Ethernet, you can control the CSH-10 from the touchscreen. Furuno lists range up and down, a gain and tilt slider, the sonar data box, the event history, the user settings and the configuration overlay. You can show the sonar on the TZtouchXL as a full, half or quarter screen, and run up to ten custom programs.
Sonar Chart Overlay
The overlay draws the sonar picture over the chart, so you see a school against the bottom contours and your waypoints. Furuno's brochure lists it for BathyVision TZ MAPS and for the TZT10X, TZT13X, TZT16X, TZT22X, TZT24X and TZTBBX models. Overlay is a planning aid; the sonar screen itself stays the place to read echoes.
What it needs
The TZtouchXL connects to the processor's second LAN port and needs software 25.11 or later. Your installer turns on NavNet synchronization when setting the system up, and the screen then shows a sync mark. Furuno notes that only certain functions work over the NavNet link, so some settings still live on the CSH-10 itself.
Keep the sonar's own controls
Treat the TZtouchXL as a second set of controls, not a replacement. The control unit still has the dedicated keys, the trackball and the transducer buttons, and it is the one to trust when the network misbehaves.

This lesson summarizes Furuno's public documents in our own words. Limits and settings differ by model and software version, so your own manual and your installer have the last word. OmniCSH is an independent project, not a Furuno program.
