Marks are how you remember where something happened. Learn to drop them, clear them and use off-center to see more of what is ahead.
At a glance
- Event marks 1 and 2 report range, depth and bearing
- Short-press deletes one mark; long-press deletes them collectively
- Erase All clears event and school marks
About 6 minutes. Part of Run the CSH-10.
Placing marks
Put the cursor on the spot and use the mark key to enter an event mark or a fish mark. The screen shows information for the latest event marks (1 on the left, 2 on the right): range from your boat, mark depth, the depth when you pressed the key and the bearing.
Deleting marks
Put the cursor on a mark and short-press to delete that one. A long press deletes event marks and fish marks collectively. Erase All clears event marks 1 and 2 and school marks 1 and 2; press the same key again to confirm.
Off-center
Off-center moves your boat's symbol away from the middle of the screen so more of the picture is ahead of you. Put the cursor where you want the own-ship mark, then long-press the off-center button. Long-press again to cancel.
