Omni sonar for Titan Yachts
The fit, the tube and the price, for this hull.
Titan's custom builds give the installer room to plan the tank right where the 600 mm hoist wants to live. Here is how the install conversation goes on a custom cold-molded hull, where the tube is laminated into the structure; FRP is the usual choice and steel is also used, and the builder or installer decides what bonds best.
The three decisions
Where the tank goes. In the keel, the 400 mm hull unit wants at least a 24″ straight tank and 30″ of clear height above it. Off the centerline, the 600 mm unit wants 32″ and 36″. Run your numbers through the fit checker before anyone picks up a saw.
The tube. The CSH-10 uses 190 mm hull tubes, the same ones as the CSH-8L MK2, so an existing omni tube usually carries over in an upgrade. The fairing where the tube exits the hull strongly affects performance, and the tank gets a vent line with a valve ending above the waterline.
The system. Furuno USA publishes the CSH-10 at $91,095 MSRP less hoist, shaft and cables. Total your build in the price builder, and if the boat runs a TZtouchXL, the sonar shows up as a native source with overlay on the chart.
The installation guide has the full space table, the venting detail and the haul-out checklist, and the forum is where owners compare notes.
Titan Yachts omni questions
What does a Furuno omni sonar cost for a Titan?
Furuno USA publishes the CSH-10 system at $91,095 MSRP less hoist, shaft and interface cables; the hoist adds $9,265 and shafts $1,970 to $4,750. 400 mm or 600 mm hoist?
It depends on where the tank goes. In the keel: 400 mm travel, with at least a 24-inch straight tank and 30 inches of clear height. Off the keel centerline: 600 mm, with 32 and 36 inches. The fit checker walks you through it.
How long is the boat out of the water?
The tank, tube and fairing drive the yard time, and the yard drives the calendar. Plan the install around a scheduled haul-out, and sea-trial with the dealer before the first tournament.
